How to apply for 30 hours free childcare

Little Parkers is our additional 15-hour provision that we launched in January 2019. Little Parkers runs alongside our morning and afternoon nursery so that your 3-year and 4-year olds can be at school for 30 hours of free nursery provision (and a lunchtime session with us each day at a cost of £4 per day). We currently offer 16 morning places and 16 afternoon places.

30 hours free childcare is available if you (and your partner, if you have one) are:

Applications are made via the Government Gateway

https://www.gov.uk/help-with-childcare-costs/free-childcare-and-education-for-2-to-4-year-olds

If your application is successful, you will be given a childcare account. You then use this account to get your code for your 30 hours free childcare. It usually takes 20 minutes to complete your application. You may find out if you are eligible straight away, but it can take up to 7 days. This code must then be shared with Mrs Larkin at the school office who will then be able to confirm your place. Codes must be activated during the term prior to the term you would like your child to start with us.

Alternatively, if you are not eligible for 30 hours free childcare, your child can attend Little Parkers at a cost of £11.00 per session (with an additional payment of £4 per day if your child stays for lunch with us).

All about Little Parkers

Little Parkers runs alongside our nursery provision with a learning environment that includes an investigation area, a chill out zone and a space for children to prepare and eat their own healthy snacks each session. A variety of themes are planned for each half term so that children can join in with a range of exciting adult-led learning opportunities. So far, themes have included healthy eating, Chinese New Year and the book ‘The tiger who came to tea.’ Children also have the opportunity to follow their own interests and to lead their own learning through accessing our high quality provision. At the end of each half term, parents are invited to come and spend time in Little Parkers with their children – a Valentine’s Day afternoon tea was held at the end of Spring 1 and all had a lovely time.
