Chimp Management, founded by Professor Steve Peters, helps individuals and organisations improve mental wellbeing, performance, and resilience through the Chimp Model, which simplifies neuroscience into practical tools for managing emotions and applying logical thinking.
They work with diverse clients, including elite sports teams, businesses, and healthcare providers. Known for supporting the British Olympic Cycling Team, they help athletes, students, and professionals develop mental resilience and cope under pressure. In schools, Chimp Management equips children, staff, and families with emotional regulation strategies, fostering a positive learning environment. They also provide corporate and healthcare clients with tools for effective communication, leadership, and stress management, supporting overall mental health and success.

At Manor MAT, we prioritise the mental health and emotional resilience of our children, families, and staff by partnering with Chimp Management mentors. Through this partnership, we deliver tools and strategies to help our community understand and manage emotions effectively, laying a foundation for a positive, supportive environment.

Enhancing our PSHE Curriculum
The Chimp Model is used to enhance our PSHE curriculum, teaching pupils to recognise and manage their emotional and logical responses. These skills help create a safe and positive environment where students feel capable of handling daily challenges with resilience and empathy.

Group and Individual Interventions
Our behaviour mentors use Chimp management strategies in group and 1:1 interventions, providing tailored support for pupils who may need additional help with managing anxiety, frustration, or self-confidence. These sessions foster emotional awareness and self-regulation in a safe, nurturing setting.

Resources for Parents and Families
We provide families with materials in our podcast created with the support of Chimp Management to help emotional wellbeing at home. These resources offer practical strategies and insights into the Chimp Model, helping families build a shared understanding and approach to managing emotions beyond the classroom.

Preparing Year 6 for Transitions and Spotlight Moments
Our Year 6 pupils receive specific support to handle “spotlight” pressures, such as exams, performances, and the transition to secondary school. Chimp Management mentors work with them to develop coping skills for stress, building confidence for these key milestones.
Through this collaboration, Manor MAT is proud to offer tools and understanding that support peace of mind, resilience, and a successful future for our entire community. Click below for more...
