Parent Information Hub

At East Park Academy, we understand the vital role parents and carers play in supporting their children’s education and wellbeing. This hub is designed to provide easy access to useful resources, including links to helpful websites and downloadable guides on key topics such as online safety, social media awareness, and children’s mental health. Whether you're looking for practical advice or expert guidance, you'll find a range of information here to support your child’s learning and development.

We would like to make parents aware of reports that some primary-aged children are accessing a game called Contraband Police via the STEAM platform, which contains themes such as drugs, smuggling and weapons, and is therefore not suitable for young children. We encourage parents to monitor and discuss the games their children are playing to help keep them safe online.

Online safety app alert: 'Monkey' - App stores also offer - (Monkey Cool & Monkey Chat)

Some of you may remember when the online app 'Monkey' surfaced during the pandemic. It's an app that can be downloaded to connect to total strangers through video calls. You do have to be 18yrs+ but as with most apps online, there are no age verification checks.

Some of our education colleagues have raised concerns that our children and young people are using this app.

Please see link below with information on for staff and parents/carers:
